A question for Ryan- Re Sale of machine

Hi Ryan, I recently offered an LR4 and MPCNC Primo for sale on the forum. I live in New Zealand and the chances of me selling these machines within the forum are highly unlikely as indicated by the responses. I have read your rules on selling your designs, I also did a search within the forum. I did find one of your answers. Ryan vicious1Regular

Ebay made me register the design and trademark so unless you are registered entity with permission you can not sell on ebay. Please list it in the forums here or a more local marketplace. One offs are allowed to be sold, but I can not register you for a single sale on ebay.

Can I clarify. Am I allowed to advertise my machines for sale on local markets within New Zealand?

The reason for my wanting to sell, I’m 73 years old and I’m trying to declutter, have too many other projects I need to fit in my life. Thank you for amazing designs and the joy of building and using your machines. I still have a ZenXY which I have built and part way through building a table, which I intend to finish

I’m not Ryan, but I’ll tag him by user @vicious1 - so it will draw attention to this question.

thank you for being considerate of his license.

Yes you can sell your one build on local marketplaces. As long as it is just the one off build and you aren’t building them just to sell you are good!

Thank you very much for asking. Jonathan got it spot on. One offs are fine, and a local marketplace is fine, just best to stay off eBay, if they flag you I can not help.

I have had my LR4 parts up for ages on ebay.de, but no one looks at them and Ebay does not care either it seems. So much for them enforcing anything… (Disclaimer: I am a licensed seller in the EU.)

If anyone copywrite claims them you get a strike on you eBay account, similar to YouTube.
