80mm Spindle mount Lowrider 3

Has anyone made a 80mm spindle mount for Lowrider 3 I just had to return the 65MM 1.5KW setup water pump was broken spindle clamp bolts wrong size and VFD smelt burnt. Ordered a different one did realize its 80mm want fit in my dewalt 611 Mount

Made this Adapter to solve problem

Hi Marvin,

I have the 80mm air cooled chinese spindle on my LR2 but have been holding out on the LR3 because of the spindle mount. Would your design also work for my spindle? Does your design just connect to the standard tool mount? Have you tried your design and have you had any problems with it?

Sorry for all the questions but Iā€™d like a smoother build than I had with my LR2 :slight_smile:

Yes it Connects to the Standard LR3 mount my only worry dos your air cooled get very hot if it dos not ure the plastic will hold up. My water cooled stays Cold to the touch even after hrs of Useā€¦

HI, thanks for the reply. I have had heat issues in the past on my LR2 with the plastic mount I designed, nothing major as itā€™s still installed. I have the metal mount that came with the spindle but doubt that it will fit the main block. Iā€™ll give yours a go and see how I get on. Thanks again.

Hope itā€™s okay to revive this thread - putting this here incase anyone else needs it. I remixed the above model to remove the requirement to have the adaptor

Iā€™ve tested it for fit, but havenā€™t finished assembly of the LR3 yet.
