I made my mpcnc out of stainless steel. It works, but is a bit expensive.
In the Netherlands we have cheap 22mm tubes (https://www.hornbach.nl/shop/CV-Buis-staal-22-mm-lengte-3-m/4143816/artikel.html)
Did everyone consider a MPCNC for 22mm tubes?
I like to make one if it doesn’t exist. Please let me know if you want to collaborate?

I am not sure but there are 16mm and 18mm version on thingiverse already (for smaller builds, and one is for a classroom setting).
I highly recommend you look for the larger diameter EMT conduit or similar. Larger diameter has a much greater effect on rigidity than material chemistry between steels. Smaller diameter Stainless is much much much less effective than an even slightly larger diameter EMT. Of the three sizes they have been found worldwide as far as I can tell.
Although there are 25mm steel tubes available in Europe (@ least in the Data sheets) it seems that nobody carries them, even online shops. Stainless is available @25mm but makes it more expensive.
Some on the forum we’re ordering from “Hoerr” in Germany, and there’s also a link for the Netherlands somewhere in the forum.
I understand all of the above. However:
6M stainless steel (25mm) is about 100 euro in NL
6M steel (used for heating systems) 22mm is about 12 euro in NL
you can go to your local steel fabrication shop (almost every village/city has one in the netherlands)
or even a technical school.
They will be able to order 25mm Stainless for a much better price than the online shops from big industry retailers like MCB, ODV and such.
I dont see the need to make another version, the stainless pipes are worth the price IMO
I went to zirk (in Leiden) and metaalwinkel, there have both similar pricing. Can you suggest a specific shop?
I happen to live near leiden, if you have a car i can arrange some stainles steel tubing for you. i work in a machine shop. i’ll have to ask my boss for the cost though send me a PM if your interessted (ik weet niet waarom ik nog in het engels typ)

Last Thursday I went to Hornbach, and they have 25 mm aluminium tubing.
Tubes were 1,00 m long and pricing is € 5,25 per length.
I’m at work right now and just cut acquired length over here.
They feel really solid.
I hope you meant steel tube. Aluminum won’t last long.
I bought 25mm tube from ebay in Germany, but I happen to live 10 minutes from germany and have some collegues living there. Ebay has some nice shops for tube.
