1" bowl bit with 3/8" radius

Disclaimer - Not sure how to word this, but be careful with this bit. It’s not going to break like a 1/8" endmill. Actually, don’t use it.

Yes, I am still making Mancala boards. This bit is the only one that has a 3/8" radius and flat bottom (bowl bit) while still being a 1/4" shank. This saves a bunch of sanding vs using a round nose bit.

Now that my settings are dialed in, I need dust collection that can pick up chips. I only get the dust :laughing:

Is it better to have the material parallel to the Y axis like shown in the picture above, or is it better to rotate it 90* to be parallel with X?

No, I am just saying you should be careful. It is a large bit. I wouldn’t want a new CNC operator to come by and start with this bit. We have lots of different skill levels here.
