I’m running a LR4 on a Jackpot board (fluidnc) and periodically - and I can’t find a pattern to it - when starting a job I’ll find that one of the Z or Y motors seems to run at half the speed (steps) of the other mate. It either happens at the initiation of a job or when the machine has been running for multiple jobs. Never randomly happens mid job.
Is this happening to anyone else running a fluidnc controller? Is there a surefire way to avoid this/am I missing something obvious?
When the machine is misbehaving, send a $SS command and paste the output here. It will tell us what is going on with FluidNC
Use the preformatted text option to paste that output. The icon on the forum editor toolbar looks like this: </>.
One thing to make sure of- if you connect a USB cable to your controller while in use, you MUST turn on Jackpot power BEFORE you connect the usb cable or the electronics on the jackpot will not boot up correctly.
