Yup. It’s the wires. Not a conventional break though as it is in the part of a cable that’s in the middle of my cable chain. Really weird spot given that there are no sharp kinks or chafing that occur there. Cable is also not under any tension.
I’ll rip out that section of cable and replace this weekend. Thanks all for the input.
