X axis issue de energizing

power on machine , all motors energize

if X is within 100mm of home it homes okay .

than say i send it to X1200 no issues , than send it to X10 it travels sweet back to about X 300 than starts to shudder like its catching on some thing, than X motor de energizes.

have put air gun in around gantry bearings incase some chips in there

have even changed driver on X and still the same issue .

If i flick mains off and back on straight away X re energizes

No errors coining up in terminal

have removed power from wall left it for half hr same issues

any ideas on what could be

EDIT: now when power on still energizes but as soon as i click home X it deenergizes

just clicked home all X was at about X600 it got to about X 300 than turned round went to about x 400 than back to 330 than back to 400 than went to about X100 and stopped , still doing the grinding noise

swapped X and Y0 drivers , Y axis move as should X still deenergizes

even swapped out esp which still has 3.9.1 loaded on it , homed better than version 3.9.9 ran to X1200 sweet than got back to about X 300 and started to bind again

currentlly pulling apart core to see if anything lodged in there to cause it to bind

it was actually amazing how much build up was in bottom of core bearing housing , after a good clean out and new bearings X axis is a lot smoother and quieter

still had same problem when moving Xaxis as above ,

after playing around with the wires found a bad spot mid way along extension cable

replaced extension cable and all good to go again
