hello all,I’m finalizing my purchases to start building the LR4. I wanted to know if you use a height sensor for setting the height, and if you have one to recommend…
Also, I see many people who have installed a fluid dial on their CNC machine. Is it possible/practical to use with the LR4? What did you add to your basic build to make it easier to use?
To cut 18mm plywood, what type of cutter do you use (diameter and height)? Could you provide a link?
thanks for your reply but i’m in europe and with the shippings cost and the tax. and if i bought something the is importation tax whet you receive the parcel…. it’s crazy. do you have solution through aliexpress or amazon for exemple….
i have the makita do you think i want to buy a planer router bits with your experience i have to buy a 38mm or 45 mm diameter?
The Jackpot boards running FluidNC are Wifi enabled and you can control them with any wifi enabled device such as a tablet, a cell phone, or a laptop. There’s technically no need for a FluidDial.
That said, I really like having a FluidDial on both of my LR4’s!
No, I wasn't familiar with Sorotec. In your opinion, which milling cutters should I buy first?
I'm trying to consolidate my orders and have everything I need to work.
it's mainly for cutting birch or marine plywood, mdf, chipboard mainly in 18mm. does the machine is abble to make small work on aluminium? wich end mills for this?
Hey Pierrick, get some 3.175mm diamond cutters (do not know the English name on Sorotec, German is „Diamantverzahnt“), leaves a great finish in it. For MDF get some 1-flutes, 3.175mm and maybe 6mm if you want to do work with a bigger endmill. They also have some aluminium endmills that are pretty good, I got the 3.175mm as well.
