That is a big box!
I just got back from a week in southern Utah and I’m thinking of moving
Love the canyonlands and hills. I did a couple of trips to the boat overland from CO on the way out- amazing. Also spent a bunch of time around Moab.
I really like Cedar City, UT. It’s one of my overnight stops to and from North Dakota.
This may sound odd, but after four(?) years of fumbling around with Onshape, self taught from scratch, I’m currently mid way through the second of their “beginners” courses. I tried initially but found it hard going
I have to say it’s astonishing how much you can learn when you know enough to start with.
I have been through all of those and it helped me a TON. That’s one of my holdups from moving on to another CAD program. Those courses made it so much easier for me to learn.
We went to Moab over spring break. It was awesome. Brought our mountain bikes and found a few beginner trails with the kids. I’m honestly glad I went with them because I would have injured myself for sure if I was trying to find my limit.
Our friends brought an OHV and my 11yo got to make some experiences with his friend driving off road.
But even driving around there is just beautiful.
wife is out of town on business for a week, so I’ve been going solo. Lots to do, since summer is in 5 weeks which means the kids are home, so project time will literally disappear.
I’ve been working on some walnut and hard maple end grain blanks, so I can start my v-carve inlay journey (it’s happening, @Tokoloshe ). Not my best work, because I made a couple assumptions about the lumber that’s been in my shop for 8 months, but very useable test pieces. I’m hoping to dial it in within a couple tries so I can use the remained as a Mother’s Day gift for my MIL.
in between glue ups and clean up, I’ve been installing flooring and electrical in my small garage attic- for holidays decoration storage. Wife is nuts about Halloween and Christmas and this was the week I decided I no longer wanted to drive to the uhaul storage place 12 times a year to unpack and pack.
and I bought two fish for my new office nano tank
Uuuh, nice! It’s going to be great! ![]()
slowly turning my carport into a dedicated cnc / laser / spray booth workshop , concreting the floor in stages as nowhere to store everything to pour in 1 hit , so keep having to move everything 10 times 1 section to go
