Weird fall

I discovered today that my z-min is doing a strange drop after everything is homed and backoff is done. It looks like it drops 1-2 mm. And it only does it on that side.
Can anyone explain why it does that and how to fix it?

I have checked:

(1) the coupler is 100% new and the lead screw is seated properly.

(2) Everything is tightened correctly with locktite.

(3) Run amps and hold amps are the same. (0.800)

(4) everything is well lubricated and it doesn’t bind anywhere.

Any thoughts?

Did you set a pull off during Z Leveling? If so that is the machine correcting to level the beam. Perfectly normal.

If you did not perform the Z level procedure in the docs, then that’s an odd one for sure!

I did it as per the manual. And it measures 0.080 in z-min and 0.075 in z-max.

It’s nice to know it’s as it should be, just scary that I only discovered it 2 months after 1 cut

No worries. But yes that is just the controller making the correction. All is good
