VCarve Pro tool change

Hello all,

I am running Vcarve and wondering how to go about editing the gcode to insert a tool change. Once ive created the toolpaths in Vcarve I have been saving each one individually. I then open them in V1pi Octoprint. I have only been able to open one at a time. My current method has been to remove the DW611 from its holder, insert new bit, then re zero the bit. This is causing accuracy issues. Any help is appreciated.

Did you ever figure this out?

Not every post processor allows for tool changes. I run separate files for each tool, running grbl.

I also run separate files for each bit, but would like to add the probing function to zero my Z into the start of my project. Or maybe it would be easier to just setup a macro in the FluidNC interface?

Vectric software can combine the selected toolpath you created into a single file there is an option for it in the save gcode option (its a checkbox) so you get 1 file no matter how many toolpath you made

That only works if every tool path uses the same tool.

Nope. I use Vectric Aspire. You can always combine them manually. I use multiple files to avoid damaging my sheets
