Which oil and wax your are using?
I am currently trying different things for the surface like 2K lacquer and shellac (Schellack).
So it would be interesting which component you are using.
Next week I will pass Oldenburg

Mineral oil and a mixture of beeswax and mineral oil. 
If you want to pop in, feel free to do so. I deleted WhatsApp though and only have Threema and Signal. I also never replied to your last mail, sorry. I just forgot. 
Shellac is great, but not for cutting boards.
