My six year old knows how to write g1 codes to move the gantry. He even knows the boundaries (but I still always keep a hand on the off switch)

i should be looking at using something that i can adjust in the Y axis as well (either with like a threaded rod or shims)?

If the face of the vertical surface was held on with 4 bolts, you could remove the bolts and add shims.

You can also design the frame so that you need to cut 4 pieces of wood the same length to make it parallel to the front edge of the table.

I really don’t think the precision needs to be perfect. No sense in getting it down to 0.01mm when the glue gap is going to be 0.1mm. it is wood after all.

Did you find the thread where someone was cutting finger joints with a board held vertically? I know I’ve seen it but can’t seem to find it now.

I have added some additional video footage to the Primo signs, vcarving, games, and a new cnc design on making box joints and have added pictures of the finished box, if your interested.
