Struggling to cut MDF ... Insights needed

How are you making this adjustment? With a computer attached?

Depends on your firmware and configuration

I’m using FluidNC with no screen atached, but a tablet connected through wifi to the web page of the board, so that’s just a slider on this web UI

If you have a (touch) screen, most of the time there’s a menu for adjusting speed/feed rate (it’s a percentage)

Or you could go the hard way and use gcode M220 to adjust through terminal

That’s something i’ll have to figure out later too !
My screen does allow me to change feedrate, but it doesn’t change anything :joy:

But I’ll use the M220 instead, and try your way !
Thanks

Feed rate changes are 12 moves behind, so sometimes changes take minutes. That buffer is a curse and a blessing.

Y’all need Estlcam as PP. :kissing_heart::yum:

“PP” - Personal Protection? Pumpkin Pudding? WTF?

I keep thinking about a thread just for explaining every acronym that I don’t understand. Then I go and polish something until that think goes away.

Certain commands are priority now, I don’t think feed rate is one of them.

I am also stupid and mixed up the terms wanting to be cool, the postprocessor (PP) most of you use is Estlcam anyway. You also need to use it as CAM, the program that does the cutting to change the feeds.
