Sorry, substitute all 1650/1300 mentions with 16,500/13,000… and it looks like you’re right, 16k not 16.5k.
Ok. That sounds better.
Those look like a good shape for this application. It looks like they would gracefully make dust instead of tearing if they were going too fast.
These were my settings for the crib board I just made:
Depth per “peck” - 4mm
Total depth per hole - 8mm (I did various tests with the tapered pegs I bought and this was a good depth for me)
Clearance plane - 3mm
Plunge speed - 10mm/s
G00 max speed is 8000mm/min
3 lanes with scoring section holes took 25 minutes.
What type of wood? A lot of those settings are similar to what I have now. … I never did check if the holes could be less deep. I actually googled for the depth, and the pegs fit well, but I never considered that I could change it, ha
Wait… Manitoba… Hey neighbor! I’m from Manitoba too
I like the layout of this board. Well done.
You don’t happen to have a file with the hole layout you could share do you? My CAD skills are pretty minimal and I just haven’t been able to get all the holes laid out nicely at all.
Thanks
Jon
I got it from here
Thanks for the pointer. I had never run across that site before. Lots of cool stuff there.
I was trying to do a custom board on a map of Manitoba but I gave up. It really isn’t easy to line up all the holes (with my limited experience). I found mine online somewhere as well. I added the start line, skunk line and score area. Here you go.
Even if it isn’t what you want it is very good and with time you will find how do what you want keep experimenting and you can do what you want
This DOES NOT resume the job in repetier host if it was stopped with M00
I’m not sure what does. Ended up stopping the job entirely. And will need to find a reference point to make a new job for the second pass, since I even lost my positioning
Have to find what pin the button on the lcd is wired to and make a big yellow continue button not sure it that will work but something to look at
