Shoot, that isn’t true. I didn’t actually do much other than plaster it with my logo and move stuff around. Bart did the heavy lifting and then we had a whole thread of people helping with all the tiny details. It was by far the most fun I have ever had on a group project!
Yes it is true, because he was talking about the LR4 not the Jackpot. Unless I misunderstood, which would NOT be the first time, or the last
That’s the jackpot, and yes that was fun to help make a few little contributions. You still drove it all forward.
That’s how I read it, and that’s also a Ryan design. Yes, it’s brilliant.
But, in fairness, there are a bunch of pretty darned awesome people here in the community making little contributions in a bunch of neat ways. That’s one of the reasons this whole scene works out.
Yup, well a lot of you know what my first build looked like all by myself. We had tons of help of the LR4…This one was by far my most stressful group project! Just goes to show we make better things as a team.
Another firmware option with the SKR is klipper. It is really nice because I can control my LR4 from any web browser; phone, laptop, tablet, etc, and similar to Alan’s workflow, I can send my fusion/Estlcam programs to it from the comfort of my desktop computer.
However, I would only recommend it if you are VERY knowledgeable with it, as it requires firmware modifications to get set up right. Definitely not yellow brick road worthy.
Not sure about the OP, but I’ve got esp01 working now.
It’s always good for the community for users to make some threads showing their machines and their solutions.
I’d love it if you created a thread to show off what you’ve done and how you did it.
For every user that posts here, there are many more who read and would benefit from that experience.
I started a build page for that reason , I plan on putting major steps in and hurdles I’ve faced. Ultimately some of the hurdles I’ve faced will be eliminated when Ryan gets the docs finished, but I’ll do my build log anyway.
I’m about a week behind on my log,. I’ll update over the weekend.
The weekend will be awesome as I’ll get it cutting.
I have got ahead of myself by doing the WiFi when I havent even got the router mounted and the lowrider squared up. But flashing control boards etc is more my comfort zone, operating a cnc is new to me, so I’ve done what I know first.
