Is there a reason for not using 2 side rails ie: a side rail on both sides for linear stability?
In the past it was mentioned that rails on both sides could/would over-constrain the CNC machine and cause binding. It’s really rally difficult to get two 8’ rails perfectly parallel to each other. Even harder when those rails are mounted to wood, which can bend and flex depending on moisture content.
