Should AI be banned in the forum?

Well shoot, that was actually useful and I read the whole thing. I also think is is 100% correct. DANG!!!

guess i’ve been misusing the duck based on my own description last year… but things can evolve. Kind of like using dude or bro… context.

We have 9 currently, and looks like there’s room for 10?

If I had to make room for something, then I would say thumbs-up and heart both convey pretty much the same meaning as a like/love reaction.

I think many people use heart because it’s easiest, but I don’t know that they are actually used for different things that much, at least not the way I interpret them.

I use the thumbs up and love quite separately. I mildly dislike the heart being the default because I think it conveys a different meaning to what I would normally respond with. The thumbs-up seems the most ‘default’, to my mind, but that may just be because I’m used to it from FB.

I’d say the clap/celebration are potentially the most overlap there?

Edit: lol.

I vote “confetti ball” off the island… :confetti_ball:

I think of those two as “good f’in job” and “yay”.

Isn’t that the summary of all of the problems with the use of AI?

Claude does not think - Claude summarises things which may or may not be correct. There’s a catch22 there, in order to know that Claude has given you a correct answer, you need to know the answer in the first place.

Claude does not give an opinion. Claude summarises other people’s opinions based on a programmer’s interpretation of what might be a good way to provide a consensus.

We don’t want consensus expressed as opinion! (I think!)

Well, I heart something if I like it, and thumbs up if I agree! Mostly I like stuff because I am easy to please!

The clapping hand is rarely used, people rather use the party ball. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah clapping hand is my least used, I vote for it to go.

Is that a clapping hand? I thought it was a wave, and I don’t ever use that. The :confetti_ball: and :tada: are great for showing when someone really exceeds. I like the heart default and the thunbs up separate.

So what emoji am I adding?

Could add❓ to enable people to easily indicate more info/details needed.

I thought we were going for a +1?

If we have 10 spots, what should the 10 be?

And what should the default be?

You could remove duck, and gain 2, I use the thumb more than the heart, but that is me. Maybe if +1 is added that would be my fav

Maybe we need a new topic. Give me a minute.
