Hey girls and boys,
I have been thinking about creating a homepage for a while now, showing off what I have built so far (yes, I did post most of it in the “Things You’ve Made”, but no one but us nerds here see it), also featuring everything that is not on Youtube. It also has most of my files, neatly organised in the sidebars.
The page is in German, maintaining a two-language Version is just too exhausting, but you can just use a translator, they work very well nowadays.
Click the fancy picture below and off you go or type www.hawiwe.de into the browser of your choice!
I’d be very happy if you could check it out so it does not feel like something I just made for myself.
You have had a huge part in it. I had dabbled in woodworking before and had just bought a little table saw four years ago, but building the Primo around 3.5 years ago really kick-started it for me.
Take, for example the band saw: it’s there to resaw wood for the CNC. The old table saw? Cut sheets to fit on the Primo.
After getting to know those tools I now use them for a lot more (obviously I don’t need that monster table saw for sawing sheets) and different things. But it all really started with your CNC.
None of the projects on the website predate Schneewittchen, my Primo.
You have also given me a community I’ve been an active part of for nearly four years now that I really feel at home at.
In conclusion: thanks so much, Ryan. It sounds cheesy, but you have indirectly had a huge impact on my life.
That is very wild to hear, I am glad I could have any impact at all, let alone one you would consider to be huge.
I’m just a geek in the garage, so very stage to think I effect anyone’s lives.
To be fair, though, it does go the same for me. If it was not for you guys I would have just released some files on thingiverse and kept moving on. Happy to just be making stuff for a living and having people hanging out to make it a group effort, not just a geek in the garage by myself.
It can take up to 48 hours or longer for domain name servers to receive new DNS info being propagated out. Perhaps the newness of the site just meant it would take a while. If that was the case, the error message shown would be the correct one (DNS Probe Finished NXDomain).
