@vicious1 What about those ridiculous printers that were near your table at Mrrf, those things heated that huge room!
Cannot remember what they were now (Old age and nearly 2 years, LOL)
I honestly havenāt ever done any research and I just follow my interests when I get there. The 3D printed car is pretty eye catching. There are a lot of passionate people and plenty of time to socialize and generate some sparks from their passion.
Oye, I need to do laundry and get ready!!!
Same. Just got back home today, then I leave again tomorrow morning. Then back Wednesday, to leave again Friday
Whatās your travel schedule on Friday?
Iām thinking about taking a vacation day to be available to help you set upā¦
I am heading up as soon as I drop the kids off at school.
I wonāt make it until about 2-3 on Friday.
Can one of you local boys bring a power screwdriver please? The LR is showing up in a screwed together crate.
I land in denver at 5:30ish. As long as they donāt change my flight again⦠Originally it was going to be around 3.
Iāll bring some tools. Let me know if you have any other specific asks.
Is your flight landing 2-3PM, or you arrive at the event site around then?
I land at noon, then picking up the car takes a bit. If it goes fast I will stop by the room first to unload.
Sure. But Iām only bringing T30 bits and no batteries.
Actually, I will try to remember to bring one. But a backup from Jim would be great in case one of us forgets.
DEN is an awesome home base airport. But I hate picking up cars from rental lots that are so detached.
When I get home tonight Iāll start packing, will have at least on compact impact driver screwdriver and 3 cordless drills. All the same tool brand. Will be bright yellow (or dull blue). 18V.
Want to make a lounge topic to coordinate amongst show goers?
Youāre darned near in Kansas, and then have to drive a fair bit back to get to the rental cars.
If only Cheyene wasnāt so expensive to fly into, itās closer to the event center than DIA. But itās so much more expensive to fly through.
I think Iām going to attempt to come to this next year. It looks like a lot of fun and flying to Denver isnāt bad.
I was looking at what to do with my old Ender 3 and saw that wire EDM kit from Rack Robotics, then saw they were going to be there. Iām not doing that, but would be cool to see.
And I want to start messing with combat robots because that looks fun.
And Iād like to check out the Compass router. That new 3 axis version looks awesome.
And maybe I just want to hang out with some of you cool kids.
They let you play with it, you will want one for sure!
It is central so I think it is primed to be the go-to event. This year might be a little light because of all the tariff worries, but seems like that might finally have a resolution, so whoever makes it through this year should be ready for an event next year.
I think we are good with this thread, we can PM if there are any personal details needed to be shared?
Jim,
Are you confirmed for RMRRF now? I saw your earlier message that you might not make it.
I live only about 10 minutes away. I can get anything that is needed/ forgotten.
Will we have access for setup after that?
My schedule on Friday is going to be wacky, but Iād like to get started that PM.
For planning purposes, Iām bringing Primo as well as the SImba10 Chair and another smaller item made on the LR4. In addition, I expect to have several carvings and maybe a few other surprises. Will try to have a video of the LR4 doing a carving or something but not yet sure what.
And plans can change on the flyā¦a benefit of living about 10 minutes from the venue.
This is gonna be good!
My next trip slipped out a bit, so Iām confirmed. Available Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
