RATATATA

This is like, the most off-topic I’ve ever been, and yes, I have been really, really far off before, but this has to be posted because I am really enjoying it:

A collaboration of a Japanese (Babymetal) and a German band (Electric Callboy), combining their unique styles into one absolutely brilliant song that puts you in a good mood, unlike the last big Germany/Japan collaboration (which also ended with a bang)… Also, the video is really neat. :stuck_out_tongue:
Song of the year for me, most definitely. On their own both bands are fine, but not something I’d listen to on high rotation (even though I do listen to rock and metal the most), combined it’s just awesome. And everyone is having fun. The making of is also pretty cute how they all have so much fun.

You want fun? Look no further than The Hu

You want international inspiration? Does traditional Mongolian instruments and throat singing doing a respectful cover of Metallica do it for you?

Just remember @Tokoloshe - you started this!

My children and I watch their videos quite often. :stuck_out_tongue: They are really awesome.

Now I’d like to see Meute do a cover.

I’m not sure it’d be a good idea to let Lindemann near them tbh.

This did not age well regrettably, Till Lindemann being the pedobear.

:grimacing: I’m glad they decided not to release most of the more questionable photos. I think that could have gone really bad.

I love all of those bands. And I am old(ish). I think they debuted Ratatata at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona.

Nah, they did at their own Fox Fest in Japan, but I envy you for having seen them live.

Sadly did not get to go to that. I have an aversion to being around that many people. Heard the interview on Satellite radio. They do a full on live broadcast while Rockville is on.

Now I think about it I feel like they were just talking about how the song came about.
