As soon as I finish work. Thought I might try engraving the crown in hardboard.
Cut the leadscrew in half. That way with a few extra bits you can swap the whole Z assembly if you want to use a different tool. Less unbolting. 
Mine is setup so the leadscrew clears the nut before the rods leave the bottom bearing.
