Locked as in no new or you can keep someone from being droped?

I beleive Ryan gave Torbjørn persistent lounge access, without freezing others from getting in.

+1 from me.

Bani Adam (Adams children)
by the Persian poet Sa’adi, written in the 13th century. These lines adorn the entrance of the UN headquarter buildning in New York.

Translation:
The children of Adam are limbs to each other,
having been created of one essence and soul,
If one member is afflicted with pain,
The other members uneasy remain.
If you have no sympathy for human pain,
The title ‘human’ you cannot claim.

This weekend I was in Oslo, for a makers conference and festival! The country’s biggest gathering for makers. Three days of lovely inspiration and networking. I didn’t showcase anything myself, it’s a long journey. But I had a talk on sunday, about the journey towards the maker community and makerspace here in Tromsø: Tromsøskapere. And v1engineering got properly thanked and blamed for being my gateway drug into the maker world!!

Next year I want to build a small machine to bring, and get more people from Tromsøskapere to join. I have two ideas:

A very small and sturdy plotter machine, perhaps only a5 size. I’d like to build one that is as fast as possible. Then, using a marker - I can make people have their portraits plotted out quickly on cards, using AI to make a plottable portrait. If I’m able to set up a local LLM running all locally, it would be even fancier. Workflow at the stand would be: Smile to camera→ push button → make plotter zoomingly fast plot a your portrait

The other idea is to make a small and portable sand table that does the same thing, only using sand - rather than plotting with a marker.

Any comments/ideas to those options?

Today would have been a perfect day for a maker faire!

All that design generation if far above my paygrade but would be cool to have at the events I get to go to so I am following along.

I’d be more than happy to help out making a setup that can be used by more of us! It’s even higher above my paygrade, but AI is making me too bold
