Plunge rates

Goodmorning,
I’m trying to get my plunge rates down to 3-3.5 mm.
Still won’t change the plunge rate. :upside_down_face:
Is there a way on how to go about this matter y’all !??

6mm per minute is extremely little. At an rpm of 18000 and a plunge rate of 6mm, each revolution means a chip thickness of 0.0003mm. That is not milling but cleaning and will only make your cutter blunt. I’m curious why you want the plunge rate to be so low. If it is a cutter with no cutting edge on the bottom, you may want to lower the plunge angle.

As already said: it should be 450mm/min, like we already said in the other thread.
