What is that?

I feel left out since I donā€™t see the Christmas tree

(yes I refresh / cleared cache)

Ryan opened a new subforum for the open source shaper origins.

I removed it, it made stuff hard to see.

Cam is working on some info to show on his first post. Fingers crossed that will be ready here shortly. https://www.compassrouter.com/

Neat!

Just posted demo I saw at Open Sauce on that topic.

@Jonathjon, look forward to seeing the Prebuilds. Is this ā€œPrebuildsā€ area where you communicate, nail down build details, Q&A, and provide progress updates with Customers? Guessing post build getting started, and doing first cuts support would be via regular community posts, and not some Premium support contract type arrangement?

So far the 2 orders I have received were all communicated over email. And that is probably preferred. This is more for me to post instructions and offer support to help people get started once they receive their builds.

I will also post some pics of the builds. I donā€™t plan to run ā€œbuild threadsā€ for all of them. But some pics along the way and finished pics I will probably try and post. If there is interest that is.

Oh yeah. Especially if you make them a little unique.

Plus how cool if they come to the forum and are like ā€œthatā€™s my machineā€

@Jonathjon i got an ad today for stuff called hexelpack - looks like a neat idea for plastic free packaging - if itā€™s affordable.

No affliation just thought of you when I saw it.

Is that the collapsing hexagon paper stuff?

I saw that before. Looked pretty cool

Yeah thatā€™s it. Such a simple idea.
A similar technique is used for skin grafts for full thickness burn and other large surface area injuries.

J Jay remember: take the full shipping weight of a full gantry when you are done :hugs:

You two have learned a bunch of CAD lately, I bet you could design one from scratch pretty easily by now!!!

Drawing in CAD and Designing in CAD are 2 very different things LOL. You are the designer, I am the builder. I know my spot and I stick to my lane
