First laser test…
I have been to Eger. I think there was wine involved. I wasn’t going to say anything because it was a long time ago and I don’t remember much, so I don’t have much to say about Eger, but I loved Hungary.
Then I was going through some old junk and I came across this.
So I have hard proof!
When I was growing up, we had a Puli. Named Kutya.
1996? OMG I was 2 years old at that time.
It’s a small world…
Interesting. So you had a Puli type dog, named as Kutya (which means dog in hungarian)?
I’d really like to cut wood with a laser as well later on. But that’s for a time when I didn’t just blow my money for a 3D Printer and a Primo.
Yes, yes we did. A Hungarian Sheepdog named “Dog” in Hungarian. We just knew that there were very few Hungarian speakers in New Orleans, Louisiana in the early 70’s. At least, that we were likely to run in to. Also, he was doubtfully anything near a purebred Puli, but certainly enough to warrant calling him one if someone asked what kind of dog he was.

Laser? Looks great very detailed
Yes. 5W laser, 300 mm/min, 10 passes.
Material: 3mm plywood. Focus: 1.5 mm into the wood.
Extra: air assist. Without air it’s impossible to cut through consistently.
Hey there, great to see a build in Hungary!
Maybe I will be the second then. We live close to Balaton but my wife’s family is from Gyöngyös, so we go there quite often. Egér is not that far from there. Any chance I could pay you a visit next time we are there? I would love to see a running MPCNC.
I printed all the parts and received most of the material. So I will soon start my build.
I was able to find 25mm stainless steel in Hungary. So if you are planning a new build and want to use stainless steel, let me know.
I love your table, by the way, my daughter is in the katica csoport in ovi
Last question, are you happy with the crown spindle? I will start with my trim router, but it has no speed control, and I use it a lot for wood projects, so I will quickly get a dedicated spindle.
