great. thanks. thought i had to reassemble that part.
I did successfully draw the crown a while ago on paper.
eventually.
i kept drawing on my dining room table and missing most of the paper until I figured out I had the wrong orientation. 
however, being on my dining room table and not leveled or squared or bolted down the marker missed on some spots but the aspect and the circle at the top of the crown is a circle.
now i just need to clear enough space in the basement with a proper table and bolt her down.
also, that way it moves while drawing is so smooth.
I can’t wait to actually cut something with it.
