Neat!

Haha - now I feel like “grumpy old man”. Why doesn’t he just use a weight? Some even come with a counting function!

AFAIK, weight is a common way to do it. But there is a surprising amount of variance and small screws with large quantities make it difficult.

Pen-plotter art vending machine! Really neat. I guess many in here would be susceptible for such a project.

Mind Blown! :exploding_head:
Greg Brown is VP, Head of Product at Onshape Skip through the prelim parts if you must, but Onshape can now scan direct to cad via a phone.

I can see so many uses for this process!

Really interested, but looks like no android support

There is an Android App available in Google Play but to be a bit nit picky, Android devices generally do not provide lidar support.

None the less, if you can create a scan with your device, it would be a two stage process, but you can still import it into Onshape and use it as described above.

That really is incredible. Too bad my iPad Air 4 does not have LIDAR. :frowning:

Same comment as for android- you can still scan and import!

would need an app that can do a photogrammetry scan on the android device. I’ve not found a good one yet.

The company I work for is getting one of these for an upcoming conference. I’d have volunteered to go if I knew I could play with it.

It’s almost like you could reach out and touch it, but you would be very sorry if you did.

I wonder how noisy they are - all the videos either have no sound or mask if with music.

Neat video, but in real life, I’d want that inevitable modern day icharus cautionary tale to be enclosed in a vacuum pumped mostly CNC’d acrylic/polycarbonate shell.

QuinLED came out with a new FCOB LED strip. Basically, 24v RGBW but with more addressable sections than other options. The neat part was the video with a factory tour showing how they are made.
