My advice is to go for it. You will be pleased with the LowRider, even if you do the wide gantry. I built two, one to carry a router, and one to carry a plasma torch. They both have wide gantries. My only advice is on the wide gantry for a LowRider that will carry a router, due to its need for stiffness, I suggest you go with the stainless steel tubes with the larger diameter.
