Got dual endstops working, and I had to compile the firmware with BED_SIZE set for 1000 mm by 1000 mm otherwise I got a kill alarm during homing (soft limits).
Finally got this monster out into the shop too.

That alarm can be avoided by just starting within 200mm of the origin.
I’ve been eyeing the PrintNC lately… I think that project is down the road for me.
I did a section of threaded inserts in the meantime (cut in by the router). I decided to let the router do the countersink as well.
Can you clarify why please?
