Making The Flat Parts

I’m not sure when I’ll have access to someone else’s machine to cut the flat parts. Is there just a full-size template someplace I can print out and cut by hand?

You can export to PDF the original DXF from thingiverse with a random cad software then print it.

… or export it as a STL and then 3d print a jig in pla. (I did this way)

I’m not quite following. If I could 3D print a template I could cut the outside with a router with a flush-trim bit and drill the holes where they are on the template. I’m not sure how to go from a DXF file to STL. I need to do this in a CAD program?

@vicious1 - Is it okay if I attach some image versions of your DFX file to this Topic? I don’t know the ins and outs of your copyrighted works.

Jerry - I assume you are in the US and would be printing on 8 1/2 x 11 paper?

Yeah a pdf of the flat parts would be great and yes I’m in the US.

Feel free!

Here are the 25.4 parts in a PDF formatted for 8 1/2 x 11 paper. Make sure you set your print settings to 100% rather than fit to page. There is a measurement on each page you can use to verify that the output is the right size.
