Hi all. Over the last couple weeks, I have been printing all my LR4 parts (they all look fantastic) and I ordered and received my hardware kit with the Jackpot controller. All is going very smoothly with the build however, when I finished the gantry assembly I realized I have a question.
I have a small shop and I was planning to disconnect this from the table on a semi regular basis. If I built it correctly, I am realizing that you cannot just pick up the gantry and move it around easily. The Z axis essentially floats and if you were to lock it into place and lifted from the center I think you would be relying on only the 2 grub screws on each side to hold the whole thing up.
Just looking to see if others move their machine around to store it and if they do, how do they do it.
Alternately, if I am not thinking about this properly please help me fix my mental model.
