LR4 - Configuration

Now when i connect to the jackpot, via the wifi, it looks half finished.

I’m not sure what that means…

What is missing that you think should be there?

I guess i’m just comparing it to the previous UI it came with, which had a more graphical interface. If it looks like its correct, with the latest (v3) version then I guess it’s fine?

Is this how you guys are running your machines? With it looking like this?

Likely, WebUI-2 is what would have come on it from V1.

I don’t think @vicious1 ships with WebUI-3

I use V3, and a few others do, but it is still not the V1 officially recommended UI.

Ok, thanks Mike. This stuff is all very new to me. I appreciate the help.

no problem.

But I’m confused as to which UI you are expecting.

My impression from the previous post is that V2 you had, is not what you had before, and neither is V3…

So now I’m curious what you are trying to get back to

The first image i linked was similar to how it looked, but it had some macros etc that were now missing. I think it was V2 that it came with. Its fine, I’ll just learn on V3. Since I’m starting from the beginning it doesnt really matter.

Ok, so if you upload all that was in the V2 UI folder, all of those macros should be back.

If you want to stick with V3, and don’t want the purple color, the included FluidNC theme just needs to be selected here:

Just beware that the V3 UI is not as well tested as V2. Overall it should be fine, but there is no push to move to the new one. V2 should remain active for quite a while.

If you dig dark themes, you can find some here:

Ive attempted to revert back to V2 UI, as thats what most of the instructional videos reference.

I ran a square test and I’m 14mm out. The documentation says:

JackPot CNC Controller - In the WebUI you can add to your Y axis pull-off distance to correct any skew. Scroll all teh way down and hit save. Back on the main screen use the “Save” macro to make the changes stick after a re-boot.

I can’t see anywhere to change the y-axis pull off distance. Am I missing something??

It looks like those are done in the GRBL configuration tab, however when I click this tab nothing will appear.

I don’t have a running V2 anymore to show, but it should be in the settings, then click the radio that says “Config Items”

It will be in that list

oh…I see…the pics are in the docs here

Are you not seeing the pulloff_mm like it shows?

Should have one for each motor

I found them, thanks.
Its tricky working out which motor value to adjust to correct the skew.

Finally I think I’ve squared, Z leveled and learned to generate the gcode. Onward and upward! Thanks all.

Congrats on the crown. Great progress!

Not meaning to criticize, but It looks like your pen holder may have been a bit loose, judging by the cross, the circle below the cross, and the semi-circles along the top right edge. If it was indeed the pen holder, then you should have no issues with your cuts, but if it wasn’t you may want to check for excessive play in your build.

The pen holder was loose, as was the texta hastily zip-tied into it. I saw it moving when it printed but I was happy with it just working. You’re spot on though!
