LowRider 4 Printed Parts, XZ plates, linear rails and screw kits in the EU

Now accepting PayPal as well. This has been a fight with PayPal’s API, WooCommerce and my rebate plugin. I regrettably had to disable all the fancy “Pay with PayPal” buttons because it did enable the discount for PayPal as well, now it works but is only available on “normal” checkout. But hey, better than nothing I suppose.

I have left set of linear rails in stock as well as screws, both of which are probably not going to be restocked.

I also have two printed parts sets basically ready to go. Get them while you’ve got time to build because of the Easter holidays. :face_savoring_food:

I am completely sold out at the moment regarding aluminium plates, linear rails and screw kits. Plates and linear rails are going to be restocked at the end of the month, I am not going to restock the screws for the time being.
You can still get printed parts.

Everything is back in stock, including screws, because I found a better dealer for them (plates are going to arrive tomorrow). :slightly_smiling_face:

Through a cooperation with Ryan and Elaire I will be able to offer the Makita collets in the EU as well from next week on if everything works out. Fingers crossed.

Picture borrowed from the V1 store with Ryan’s blessing until they arrive at my place and I can take my own pictures.

Thanks Ryan for all the help with the order!

Sweet, hopefully it is smoother in the future.

I wanted a functionality (or rather two) that WooCommerce didn’t offer: an Etsy order import and a free shipping option for the combination of certain products. I also wanted to advertise it.

The Etsy plugin was built over a few days with Claude. It now (theoretically, because I haven’t had an Etsy order since) imports every new order on Etsy that’s been paid for. If you mark the product as sent, it also (theoretically) pushes the tracking number to Etsy (Etsy’s API is really well documented, pretty neat).

This plugin was needed because I am lazy and paid plugins are really expensive.

The second plugin is more interesting for people who only have a WooCommerce shop. It lets you create combinations of products you want to offer free (or discounted) shipping for when combined.

The clou is that it also creates you a short code you can add in the store page that shows a banner for the offer including pictures and prices and the ability to put all of them into the basket. It was only thought of as a simple html, but the theme destroys those on the store page (on every other page it works) so Claude came up with the workaround that was then included as the short code option. Pretty neat. It still looks bad on small devices, but my tokens are used up.

You can see it in action here: https://hawiwe.de/shop/ (obviously :joy:)…

If you want to try one of the plugins for your store, give me a shout. The shipping one works great, the Etsy one seems that it is going to work. There were a lot of things that had to be considered before it even connected to Etsy.

Guys, why those 3,175 collets are so bloody expensive? Is there some kind of licencing involved? Or what?

Oh, and I don’t get me wrong - @Tokoloshe has them not bad priced - I’ve seen much worse!

They are custom Makita collets, not the standard ER-11

Like Ryan said, ER11 collets for the new Scienci for example are really cheap, but those collets for the Makita are made by one company in the US - Elaire. They are custom made by a small company, they sell them for $24.50, so me taking 29€ is just shipping and taxes that I had to pay on top basically.

OK, and there is only one company in the world making those because… no one but us needs them?

@Tokoloshe keep one for me, please - I’ll buy it together with those discounted XZ plates

Seems so. They’ve specialized in doing all kinds of collets for all kinds of routers. There seems to be enough need but not enough that some Chinese manufacturer jumped the train.
