thats not working, and every time i click download i think its just downloading to computer
Upload, not download.
You can also drag-and-drop the new file to the window in the files tab.
If you choose upload the browser should prompt you for what file to use.
ok it doesnt give me an option to upload. so cant i just delete existing files and start over with the ones i downloaded? and by reboot you mean restart right?
or go buy mac? idk . jp3 didnt work when i got it , which operating system do you prefer? i know you not a fan of windows 11. im really dumb obviously.
Windows 11 works fine for lots of folks, if that is what you have it’s fine.
Yes you could delete the one you have, but then you’ll still have to upload the replacement one.
I’m traveling today so not near a machine where I can get you more screenshots or directions. Hopefully someone else from the forums can help out with that.
Left to my own choices, it’s Linux. That said, my daily driver is a MacBook air, which I describe as “by far and away the best portable computer I’ve ever owned”.
I also drive Windows boxes when I must and even some oddball stuff.
One suggestion that I Have even without screenshots would be to arrange your browser and your file explorer side-by-side on the screen. Then, single-click and hold down on the replacement config.yaml in your file explorer and then drag-and-drop that file into the area on the browser where you see the flash files on your jackput Web UI. That SHOULD do the trick.
If not, then again hopefully someone else here on the forum can help.
@vicious1 perhaps?
I don’t have a jackpot with me, but I can get all the screenshots you need tomorrow Miles.
The jackpot was flashed and tested before it left so it should be reasonably close no matter what has happened since.
The red arrow here should give you a drop-down with more options including upload if you can’t drag and drop.
In this picture the green arrow is where you need to click and change to the flash section, not the SD section,
that didnt work. ill just wait for the new 1 i guess
What happened, what exactly did you try?
Lots of details helps here.
That is not a great remedy. That could end up the same way. There are a lot of wise people here. Please read and do what they say and I bet you come out on top of this.
i uploaded the files.. idk that control must be shot. so now i have the original jackpot and its programmed for mpcnc.. i uploaded the lowrider stuff and it kinda works. yo/zo side is moving faster than y1/z1 side. lol. just bought the jackpot 3 again agian. all the wiring is cleaned up and unless i can use j1 for lowrider 4 i think it’ll work when the j3 gets here
Miles, I would love to help. I can’t imagine anything is permanently wrong with any of your boards but you are not giving any details for use to go off of.
What files exactly? Can you show a screenshot of your “flash” section and the files that are in it.
Easy fix, one file needs to be changed.
if it is moving at all it can be fixed.
We have not ever had a completely busted jackpot ever. I flash and test every single one before it leaves here. Worst we have had recently was a few bad driver chips, and we have a workaround for that.
ok all the files i tried uploading previously are the ones that were on it. now with the jackpot 1 i only uploaded the lowrider config that i got from jackpot 3. what files should i upload?? uploading files to the jkpt3 did not work at all. uploading files to jackpot 1 worked to change it from mpcnc to lrcnc but the motors y1 and z1 seem to move maybe a tenth as fast as the y0 z0. I definitely shorted the first jkpt3 with metal and the second i unplugged ports while it was powered on
If you are using a jackpot 1 only use those jackpot one files. If you have a jackpot 3 only use those files.
Well that can definitely cause problems.
This is a little confusing. If you have both boards lets just troubleshoot one at a time. Which one do you think works best?
In this picture the config looks normal, the errors are showing up becuase the board is not powered on.
If you want to ship them both in, with a return label, I will test and flash whatever you want on them.
ok that sounds cool. what about jackpot 1? can you send me the files for that to work for lowrider?
this is jackpot 1. its definitely powered on. i can take a video. y1 and z1 are working at a fraction of the y0 z0 motors.
how do i configure jackpot 1 for lowrider 4? it came ready for mpcnc
