Jackpot 3 Installation complete!

I finished updating my LR4 with a new Jackpot 3 and love it with the newly printed case and cover. Nice and tidy. My previous JP 1 is destined to my original Primo and perhaps consider a laser attachment.

Questions:

1. I noticed an updated FluidNC interface when I fired it up. Looks good. Can I update my JP1 to the same level? If so how do I do it?
2. I use the beta Mill Mage but have not tried the new board yet. Is there any recommended steps I should do to keep a backup files in case I screw something up?

I’m assuming your JP1 has WebUI v2 and the JP3 has WebUI v3. Yes, you can upgrade. You just need to put the new index.html.gz on the flash memory. You may also want the preferences.json file as well.

A backup of what? You can backup all the files on flash on the Jackpot if you want to restore that but it shouldn’t matter.

What version of Fluidnc is on the JP1? You can use the webinstaller to update it and install Webui V3 too.

Then you need to update the config for the MPCNC, laser and anything else you have.

Do you use Macros in the Webui?

Not really sure. Concentrating on the new JP3 but will dive in when I get a chance.
