There is a serial number thread for the MP3dp where you show a pic and claim a number.
Is there one for the lowrider or mpcnc?
This might help visualize how many are in the wild.

I tried and tried to get Ryan to do a serial number for the LR4 but no dice. I have them for my full builds
can we start an unofficial one?
Maybe you would have to post a picture with the test crown drawn/carved/milled on the machine?
that makes sense. draw the crown, take a photo of the setup with the drawing or making the drawing and claim a number.
I know in his yellow brick road post, Ryan mentioned he wanted to see crowns, for the reason of people getting their machines to a functioning state rather than hyper focusing on minor details or extra features that aren’t needed.
I think even if it was an unofficial thing, it would encourage people to reach the finish line. As far as my understanding, drawing a crown requires basically the machine to be functionally complete.
I known when I built my first MPCNC and drew my first ever test crown, I felt a huge sense of accomplishment, and couldn’t wait to use it more.
I don’t think he is trying to collect crowns as much as trying to encourage people to get past that milestone.
There should be quite a few LRs out there. Much more than the ones in the forums. And not everyone is big on sharing. But I don’t see the harm in an unofficial serial number.
Part of me says it’s a great idea because those who are having issues can also state if it’s up n working at one point because they have a crown, on the other hand it feels like Gate keeping which I don’t care for. But the idea of encouraging people to follow those steps and not be jumping right to thing (myself with the LR3 admittedly) I think could benefit people, if they care about a S/N that is
Ghostrider is 002. Only beaten by @Jonathjon.
You could always adopt an international numbering system and be DE-001 (or if it was a boat GER-001) because international yacht racing is effectively governed by the Brits who can’t figure out how DE can possibly mean Germany! )
Don’t feel bad - Australia used to be KA (for Kingdom-Australia) and the UK was simply K, because…
User Map – V1 Engineering Inc
Not serial number, but It is counting every machine
Edit: there is 150 mapped machine, but I think the total number is least at 10x or more. I can share time to time numbers per machinetype or I can try to add more statistick into map.

Somewhere in my travels during the year, I’ve dropped off the map!
I should be back soon though!
That’s because Australia does not exist and you fell down the edge of flat earth…
NNNooooooooooooo. It can’t be true… .
