At least you could retrive it i burn mine but the summer heat slowes this but no paint on the objects and the smoker gets exta meat😃
I’ve become proficient with MDF, Particle Board and Plywood. What helps hugely is having a fence where I just put the 8x4 sheet and push it into the fence and I know that corner is at 0,0.
Slow down to 400 mm/min and doc 3mm to start oak is a large step up from MDF except in dulling cutters
it was chattering at that speed.
I had tried everything, even a new bit.
I never could master not getting chatter with my Primo. That’s why it lives as just a Laser machine now. I just work a TON better with the LR style machine. I know the Primo is more than capable, but I think I was stretching it at 24" x 24" cut
Yeah, i am going for the LR.
I made the primo from CSL money, guess I need to start saving up for the linear bearings and Look whatever else I need.
I have a lr3 core here that I printed for grins a while ago.
Not sure.
Yes 24 by 24 is big so slow and shallow climb cut finish pass. How tight are the cuts to the bit size? Tricoidel cuts when ever possible. Was it on a cutout or tight hole? The worse time i had was a broken core from overtighening had be pulling my sparce hair for hpurs till i tore down the machine and found the core and a tool holder cracked and a lose foot that would push up when things would bind. None of it was visab)e from the outside till disassembly. UGGG
I to am going to build a lowrider ![]()
You both might want to wait a tad (or two), but you know that. ![]()
or 4
I wont be doing anything for a while. Other than maybe go get some pressure treated wood and try it next weekend. But I have no money for rebuild now.
Thanks all
I broke nearly every moving part on the mpcnc last summer not realizing it as it happened. It became so loose, but it cut foam just fine so I kept using it. It paid for the mp3dp V4 I built that was then used to reprint all the parts and got it refreshed, then I built a lowrider… There are so many fewer bearings and moving parts on a lowrider so it appears initially to be a more robust system longer term, but I’ll speak to that after it has more cut time.
I caught mine on fire. ![]()
