How is X-Axis Position Maintained

Thanks for the picture. Any reason the 3d printed part for the belt holder could not include a hard stop for the wheel?

That is how I do it. The Z rail hits the belt stop, to really square the machine I use layers of tape on the belt stop to shim it as perfect as I can get it.

Oh, didn’t think about it the rails… I was focusing on the wheels. That makes sense.

Hey, I’m bit off topic here, I’m thinking about lr2 and I’m wondering how to change the spoil board after it becomes damaged? Do you have to take the machine off the table or is there a way around?

I plan on using two boards… a 1/2 inch mdf as the top of the frame with a 1/2 inch foam insulation board as a spoilboard.

Foam is an awesome spoil board, just be sure not to clamp to hard or you will bow and indent it.

On the Maslow, I just screwed it down at the corners…on the lowrider I was thinking of corner blocks to hold it in place assuming it just needs to not shift (i.e., won’t have a problem lifting up)

Lath screws in the corners work great for this.
