The bridge can be installed on the development board or be external.

The key here is the first part - the board used on a jackpot already has a USB port.

the Web Installer is one hell of a fine/sim

I had a similar if not the same issue whereby I kept getting the message " waiting on connection " Problem was I did not click the " DISCONNECT " button first that takes you right back to the Web Installer’s front page. Then I simply hit the “CONNECT” button and followed the instructions and then the code started to load onto the ESP32.
