When I was browsing boxes.py I found a dice box and I thought: great idea, but ugly. So I drew my own. I also wanted to try those barrel hinges that give you the option to open the box 180°.
This was a 40-minute project from start to finish, plus maybe half an hour of drawing, cutting the box was the quickest part…
Much nice, very box, wow.
The hinges are problematic though since the material next to it can only be 2mm. I made them fit with a little pressure and the wood cracked a little. So the next time I’m going to make the holes 8.1 or 8.2mm. ![]()
Overall I am really happy though.
