Failure to upload fluid NC to ESP 32/Jackpot

I have tried to load Fluid NC onto my esp32/Elecrow Jackpot multiple times to no avail. I have confirmed correct drivers, cable integrity, baud matching etc. I’m using windows. All help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Show the details and try the boot button on the board.

If that does not work;

Please try the manual method from the instructions. There is a link to the fluidnc github and that has a tool to do it in a differnt way.

When you plug in the board, do you get the windows beep indicating a new USB device has been plugged in? If not, check that you don’t have a power-only USB cable (They’re common!)

If you do get the beep, does a COM port show up in Windows device manager? If not, and you get an unknown device you need to install the CP201x drivers.

Thanks Jim,

I do have the drivers installed and am able to see the port as well as hear the audible when connecting the device. I’ve confirmed baud matching and as of now have only used the WebLoader interface. I’m currently going the manual route as suggested. I’ll update as time allows. Thanks for your help!

Do me a favor try this installer first, https://install.wled.me/, then try the fluidnc installer if that works.

I think they are doing something different and I have not been able to prove it for a while.

I was able to have success after swapping a new esp32 for the presumably bad one originally installed. After the swap, everything was smooth like butter. Thanks for your help. I will try some things later to confirm that the original controller was indeed the problem.

Thanks for all the help again!

I’ve had the same problems with the WLED installer on my computer, on my wife’s everything worked well (around two months ago). But I think my computer just sucked. :smiley:
