Extruder Motor Keeps going after G1 E5 F1000

I have been up and running for a while. I was preparing to start a print and wanted to prime the extruder. So, I sent a G1 E5 F1000 from the terminal and the extruder motor just kept going. Same result if I retract. I am running OctoPrint. any Ideas? The terminal says, “Recv: echo:busy: processing”

What happens with the same command, or the control panel in Repetier? I am not fluent enough in octoprint to know if there is something else going on there. If repetier works you know it is an octoprint hiccup of some sort.

I tried in repetier. Sent G1 E1. Same result. Motor just keeps going.

Re-flash the stock firmware?

If you use the control buttons the same thing happens? Manual stuff I use g90 to be safe, but teh buttons should work. If not it is probably firmware related, and clear the eeprom. (m500?)

Yeah. Just did it again with your MP3DP V1 marlin.

Board, drivers, pictures, wires, endstops?

Are you at temp when you try that, above 170?

Ramps 1.4

Have double checked wires with a meter
Endstops on x,y, and z working
I have tried both at temp and cold. Same result.

The extruder has to be above 170 the firmware prevents movement below that. Try swapping the drivers.
