Dust extractor (shop vac replacement) recommendations?

Sure it can… it’s just a it stronger…

I have a project to mill a couple of rings in 3/4” plywood to go inside a standard Agent Orange bucket to go under a dust separator… it’s on the project list…

FYI - Dewalt also makes a separator that matches up with the Stealthsonic units quite well. It’s on sale at Amazon currently and can connect to either the 1 7/8 hoses or 2.5:

DEWALT Dust Separator with 6 Gallon Poly Tank, 99.5% Efficiency Cyclone Dust Collector, High-Performance Cycle Powder Collector Filter, DXVCS002, Yellow - Amazon.com

They also have a 10-gallon version with a stainless tankfor a bit more:

Amazon.com: DEWALT Dust Separator with 10 Gallon Stainless Steel Tank, 99.5% Efficiency Cyclone Dust Collector, High-Performance Cycle Powder Collector Filter, DXVCS003, White : Tools & Home Improvement

Yeah I saw that, but I printed one (I’m a cheapskate) and put it on a bucket. Good for the thread though thank you for sharing.

I do have the Hercules dust collector and it works rrrreally well; the suction is insane, it comes with all the attachments, and has a built in power socket so it turns on when your tool turns on! It is a little bit quieter than my big Dyson vacuum, but it’s still really loud. I currently have it backed up into a corner of my garage and I put spare pillows and cushions around it which takes the edge off the sound, still plenty of room for it to breathe. I don’t think I’d trade it for anything because of how well it works and for how often I use it, but I would seriously consider one of those quiet vacuums.. I feel like I annoy my neighbors sometimes haha.

I also 3D printed a cyclone and put it on a bucket, it kicks ass! And seeing the giant funnel grow on your build plate is just cool lol.
