Do Toolpath Layers in Estlcam Exist?

It’s possible to turn the visibility of drawing layers in Estlcam on or off (View → Layer List).
Is it possible to assign toolpaths to a layer and turn path layer visibility on and off?

You can lock a layer, does that lock the toolpaths as well? I don’t think you can visually hide toolpaths.

Canned response (source: Dave Lers : Workshop : CNC : Estlcam)
The View : Layer list : layer lock only prevents the creation of (new) paths on that layer.
The Edit : Lock only prevents the modification of already created and selected paths.

…Locks are grayed, only layers can be hidden (or deleted/restored).

Thanks
It’s what I suspected then…
No ability to view/hide paths.

Grayed out is 50% hidden and visually quite helpful.

I see that now
Interesting…
I was looking for something for overlapping layers but this is useful too.

I’m still not sure what you’re after, have you tried Edit : Group? A Group of paths with the same properties is functionally similar to a DXF layer. My goal when creating DXF layers is to make Automatic Functions : Create objects automatically and grouping as easy as possible. Entering a Properties window name for the group helps when groups overlap (Estlcam’s ‘which do you want?’).

Thanks!
I think this gets me further along for sure.
Create paths and group them. Lock groups of paths to make them less visible.
I’ll think about how these options might change my workflow.
Thanks again for your help. I’ve used Estlcam for a couple of years but haven’t seen a need for this capability until now.
