Custom “Grippy” Fluid Dial Housings

I designed a few housings with “grippy” textures. I’m posting them here in order to share them with this community. WARNING: these may not fit the cradles that are out there. I did design a basic cradle to fit for now, and plan on refining it for the MPCNC and LR4 (later).

I remixed the RJ12 version of the case from Bart Dring here. The width of the pendant may be the issue with other cradles, my cases have a max width of 65.6mm.

You can find the files here on printables.

Thanks! You seem to have contributed a lot to this community, your videos about the LR3/4 were the main source of “live” information I could find about V1E projects outside of this forum and the docs. I found the fluid dial because of your content too, so thank you!

Here’s the one I’m going to use. I call this one “round bars in”

And forgive my wet filament. I’m still getting used to printing in a humid environment, I used to live in the desert.

Get you a food dehydrator off Amazon. Works the best for drying out filament in a humid environment. Currently in FL where the humidity is 99% right now…

I have an Eyebos dryer, just didn’t do it long enough. Where I used to live it was <20% RH most of the year, plus was in a conditioned home. Here, in a 5th wheel, ALWAYS>70%RH. Next time it’ll be 12 hours instead of 6.
