That is what started all this for me. I am not interested in manually setting the current with the pots though, deal breaker for me. I do keep looking at the mega 5x Rambo GRBL port, and I have some esp’s coming in for headless use.

We had so many threads where the answer was just, “adjust the pots”. I’m very glad to have boards where the firmware sets the current.
A few have popped up again recently…gave me flash backs of the analog pots.

The day is near when v1 releases the first all-in-one CNC, with a rotatable mount on the z axis that has a spindle, laser and 3d printer (on the same mount).
It sounds like a jack of all trades, master of none trade off, but the typical “garage cnc/maker” market is growing.
This custom board is also a new v1 revenue stream, and though not stated in your post, this is vital to the v1 diversity, longevity and success. Sales outside of v1 builds to generic cnc, 3dp builders etc. could be significant.
