You move and hold the joystick left and right for X axis and forward and back for Y axis. You have to hold down the button corresponding to how far you wish to move 1mm, 10mm or 100mm. There is also a special Z mode which is switched to by pressing 10mm and 100m at same time. LED goes RED then as moving Z is always scary . Then there are are 3 home buttons, which are a bit cut off in the photo.
This is built using an esp32 with some simple custom code, that connects to an ESP-01 plugged into my SKR Pro controller on the LR3. Connection is via WIFI and uses a very simple REST API that is part of the WEBUI for the ESP-01.
I really like the X-Y movement approach, no accidental move by just bumpinig the stick or pressing a single button, very clever and elegant solution
