Yes up here in the cold north Canada we have a lot of rattle snakes, black widows everywhere (we catch them and make them battle) and also scorpions they are neat to find as you use a black light and they light up. And we are actually warmer than tx right now.
Did you know rattle snakes can swim Well I didn’t until I saw one cruise past me on the beach and rip right in the lake.
One more thing for ppl getting a cold period.
Don’t let your project or parts engines sit with water or low antifreeze. Especially your boats etc. save the blocks and heads from freeze cracking.
Also for the ppl in Detroit hang in there wow.

It’s cold enough in the shop that when I went to preheat my MP3DPv4 to do some printing today, the ‘low temp’ on the heated bed kicked in and shutdown the controller. I had to walk out there and reset it.
Luckily, I have a chamber heater on this build. I’m letting that run and warm everything up inside the machine before I try pre-heating the bed again.

When i use my filament dryers i usually have to warm them up before they will work, a heater that needs to warmed, lol
