Clamping/fixturing

I swear I saw a thread like this somewhere but I can’t seem to find it using search or manually combing through the forum.

How are you guys clamping work pieces down? Right now I have an MDF board screwed to the 2x4 base that I made for my machine. I just screw through the work piece and into the mdf. It isn’t a perfect solution, but it is easy and works. I am debating 3d printing or buying some t track and recessing it in the board.

That’s how I do it just remember to give it a quick sanding when you unscrew things to get rid of the humps the screws make. Sometimes I use clamps through holes in the waste board but not very often.

This is what I put together… Mdf, and I used a keyhole router bit to make the channel and then printed some arbitrary clamps from thing inverse…
